TERMS & CONDITIONS

SOUL-SEARCHING CLIENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking or participating in any service provided by SOUL-SEARCHING. By booking a session, purchasing a service, or participating in any session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, you must not book or attend any session.

FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION
SOUL-SEARCHING may offer a free initial consultation (usually 15 minutes, online). This consultation is informational only and does not constitute therapy, healing, diagnosis, treatment, or advice of any kind.

The purpose of the consultation is to:

  • discuss your concerns,

  • explain available services,

  • assess suitability,

  • and determine whether working together is appropriate.

SOUL-SEARCHING reserves the right to decline services if deemed unsuitable.

SERVICES OFFERED

RAPID TRANSFORMATIONAL THERAPY (RTT):

RTT sessions are therapeutic and aim to support emotional and subconscious processes. RTT is not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, or psychological treatment and does not constitute medical advice or diagnosis.

REIKI & ENERGY HEALING:

Reiki and energy healing sessions are complementary wellness services intended to support relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being. Reiki:

  • is not medical treatment,

  • does not diagnose conditions,

  • does not replace medical or mental health care,

  • and does not guarantee any specific outcome.

Clients are advised to consult a qualified healthcare professional for any medical or mental health concerns.

 

NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS

All services provided by SOUL-SEARCHING are offered without any guarantee of outcome. Individual results vary and depend on many factors beyond the practitioner’s control. By booking a session, you acknowledge that:

  • no promises or guarantees are made,

  • results cannot be predicted,

  • and participation is voluntary and at your own discretion.

BOOKING & PAYMENT

  • All sessions must be booked in advance.

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking, unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.

  • A booking is only confirmed once payment has been successfully received.

  • If payment is not received, the session may be cancelled without further obligation.

  • Taxi costs for in-person sessions are not included and will be charged additionally. 

Accepted payment methods include online card payments, Apple Pay, and Revolut. Cash and cheques are not accepted. Prices are subject to change. The price displayed at the time of booking applies.

CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING & REFUNDS

  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session.

  • No-shows (failure to attend without notice) are treated as late cancellations and are non-refundable.

  • Fees are charged for reserved professional time and expertise.

  • Rescheduling requests are subject to the same notice periods as cancellations.

PACKAGES & MULTI-SESSION PROGRAMS 

If you discontinue a package after attending some sessions:

  • unused sessions may be refunded on a pro-rata basis,

  • at the sole discretion of the practitioner,

  • after deducting fees for completed sessions and administrative costs.

There is no automatic entitlement to refunds for unused sessions.

ATTENDANCE & PUNCTUALITY

You are responsible for attending sessions on time.

  • Late arrival may result in reduced session time.

  • Lost time cannot be guaranteed to be made up.

  • Full fees still apply.

ONLINE SESSIONS - TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITY  

For online sessions, you are responsible for:

  • a stable internet connection,

  • a private and quiet environment,

  • a functioning device with camera and microphone.

SOUL-SEARCHING is not responsible for disruptions caused by technical issues on the client’s side.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY & MEDICAL DISCLOSURE

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and honest information regarding your physical and mental health where relevant. SOUL-SEARCHING may ask questions about your medical history in order to identify any contraindications to treatment and to assess whether your health may affect, or be affected by, the therapeutic or energetic goals you wish to achieve. If you are currently under medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic care (including, but not limited to, a GP, psychologist, psychiatrist, or counsellor), you are responsible for consulting your healthcare provider prior to participating in any session. You may be asked to seek their written or verbal consent before sessions can commence.

You agree to inform SOUL-SEARCHING of any changes to your medical or mental health status during the course of therapy, or if you are returning after a period of absence. SOUL-SEARCHING does not provide emergency, crisis, or medical services. If you are in a crisis, contact emergency services or a mental health helpline in your country. 

 

RAPID TRANSFORMATIONAL THERAPY (RTT):

RTT services cannot be offered to clients suffering from epilepsy, any form of psychosis, or during pregnancy.
If such conditions are disclosed or become apparent, SOUL-SEARCHING reserves the right to decline or discontinue services in the interest of client safety.

 

REIKI & ENERGY HEALING:

Reiki and energy healing sessions cannot be offered to clients with any of the following conditions:

  • epilepsy

  • unhealed or improperly set bone fractures

  • pacemakers or other implanted electronic medical devices

  • diabetes

  • pregnancy

Clients are responsible for disclosing any of the above conditions prior to booking. SOUL-SEARCHING reserves the right to refuse or discontinue Reiki services if contraindications are present, in order to ensure client safety and professional integrity.

AGE REQUIREMENTS 

Clients must be 18 years or older for sessions.

​

RECORDINGS & MATERIALS

Any recordings, audios, worksheets, or written materials provided are:

  • for personal use only,

  • confidential,

  • protected by copyright,

  • and must not be shared, sold, reproduced, or distributed.

Hypnotherapy recordings should not be listened to whilst driving, operating machinery or undertaking any other activity where concentration is required.

CONTACT BETWEEN SESSIONS

Any contact between sessions will be by telephone (WhatsApp) or email during office hours - Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm (local time). Any messages received outside of these hours will be responded to during office hours only.

STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOUR & PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT

During the course of any session, Soul-Searching will treat you with respect, professionalism, and integrity and will not abuse the trust you place in the practitioner. All services are provided in accordance with best professional practice and ethical standards. In return, you agree to attend all sessions in a sober, respectful, and cooperative manner. You undertake not to harm yourself or any other person, including the practitioner, and not to damage or interfere with any property belonging to the practitioner or any third party. You agree not to attend sessions under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs, except for medications that have been lawfully prescribed by a medical professional.

SOUL-SEARCHING reserves the right to immediately terminate a session, without refund, if:

  • you attend a session under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs,

  • you display abusive, threatening, violent, or otherwise inappropriate behaviour,

  • your conduct compromises the safety, integrity, or professional boundaries of the session.

In such circumstances, SOUL-SEARCHING may also refuse to provide any further services, at its sole discretion, without refund of any fees already paid.

CONFIDENTIALITY & RECORDINGS

All sessions, communications, and contact between you and SOUL-SEARCHING, including in-person and online sessions, telephone conversations, emails, messages, notes, and written records, are treated as confidential. Sessions may be recorded for professional purposes only. Any recording will only take place with your prior knowledge and explicit consent. You are under no obligation to consent to recordings, and refusal will not affect the provision of services. All records, recordings, notes, and communications will be stored securely and handled in accordance with applicable data protection and confidentiality obligations. Confidentiality may be breached only in the following circumstances:

  • where you have given your explicit consent to do so;

  • where disclosure is required by law, court order, or regulatory authority;

  • where there is a reasonable belief that there is a risk of serious harm to you or to another person;

  • where information indicates involvement in serious criminal activity or fraud;

  • where disclosure is necessary to protect a minor (under 18 years of age);

  • where a referring or supervising healthcare professional (such as a GP, psychologist, psychiatrist, or other licensed practitioner) reasonably requires information for continuity of care. Where possible, you may request access to any such report.

Except in the circumstances outlined above, no information will be disclosed to third parties without your consent.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & INDEMNITY 

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, participation in all services provided by SOUL-SEARCHING is entirely voluntary and undertaken at your own risk.

SOUL-SEARCHING and the practitioner, Stefanie Balmerth, shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or harm arising from or in connection with your participation in any service, whether such liability is alleged to arise in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise. This includes, without limitation, any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of profits, loss of income, or other similar damages.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by law.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SOUL-SEARCHING and Stefanie Balmerth from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • your participation in the services,

  • your breach of these Terms & Conditions, or

  • your failure to disclose relevant medical or personal information.

GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malta. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malta.

CONCERNS & COMPLAINTS

If you have any concerns or complaints regarding the services provided, you are encouraged to raise them directly with the practitioner in the first instance. SOUL-SEARCHING will endeavour to address and resolve concerns in a professional and timely manner.

DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY

Personal data is collected, processed, and stored in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on this website.

By booking a session, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will apply prospectively and will be published on the website.

TERMS & CONDITIONS UPDATES

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. Any changes will apply only to future bookings and services and will not affect sessions already booked or completed. Clients are encouraged to review the current version of the Terms & Conditions prior to booking or recommencing services after a period of absence.

CLIENT PARTICIPATION & RESPONSIBILITY

You acknowledge that your level of motivation, engagement, and personal commitment is an essential part of the therapeutic process. You agree to participate to the best of your ability at all times, including making reasonable use of therapeutic suggestions during and between sessions, listening to any audio recordings provided, and completing agreed therapeutic tasks where appropriate. You confirm that all information provided during the initial consultation and throughout the course of therapy is accurate, complete, and truthful, and you agree to continue to disclose relevant information honestly in all subsequent sessions.
